Help for Anxiety and Trauma
-
You’re tired of putting off lunch and bathroom breaks, and your body nearly screaming before it gets your attention.
-
You’re tired and can’t sleep, replaying social situations and imagining future ones. Endless and fruitless study fills your head when you’re driving, in the shower, and in bed. And this private, crushing overthinking doesn’t improve your relationships. Instead, you feel lonely and distant, don’t trust even your closest people, and you crave that long-illusive sense of belonging.
-
You listen to self-development books on your drive to work.
You try to eat well, keep hydrated, wear sunscreen, lift weights, and yet there’s a part of you that thinks you could do more, do better.
Your attempts at self-care don’t get off the ground, or they take off with such force that they cut into your sleep and other responsibilities.

“I function okay.”
“I don’t need therapy. Other people are worse off.” (even faces come to mind)
Let’s find out how therapy can be a help, even as these thoughts show up. Book a free consultation to learn more.

“The therapist won’t understand me.”
“The therapist is just another person I’ll have to mask for/take care of/put above my own needs.”
“They’ll tell me I’m wrong, stupid, lazy, entitled, that it’s my fault, that I’m making something out of nothing.”
Let’s talk through your concerns and how therapy can help. Book a free consultation to get started.

In weekly therapy sessions, we face what’s going on for you at a safe pace, in slivers. We savor the good (or the less bad) bits of life at the start, building resources before we dip a toe into the harder things.
The things bringing you to therapy are the same things that make it difficult to reach out to a therapist, so:
-
Your mind is already a powerhouse. Problem-solving or overthinking, for better or for worse, your mind is a force. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy uses the strengths of your mind, and creates literacy in your body and emotions.
Knowledge is power = choice and freedom. Book a free consultation to learn more here.

Therapy for carers: bodyworkers, healthcare workers, caregivers, educators, therapists, homemakers…
I help helpers connect authentically, free from overthinking and people-pleasing.

Frequently Asked Questions

I accept some Aetna and Anthem plans, but each plan is different. If your plan tells you I'm in network, then we can trust them as the authority. I use a third-party called Headway to manage insurance, and unfortunately Headway is only able to offer estimates. To avoid surprises, you will get the most accurate information by contacting your insurance carrier directly. When calling your insurance, ask them about your "in-network benefits" and ask if I am in-network. The insurance carrier may ask for my NPI number, which is 1275085524. If I am not in network, but you have "out of network benefits," you may be able to submit claims for services for partial reimbursement.
I am also an out-of-network provider. Contact your insurance representative to find out if you have out-of-network (OON) benefits and what they are. If you would like to use your OON benefits, please let me know.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to provide a good faith estimate of expected charges for items and services to individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any services upon request (even before scheduling).
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers or call 1-800-985-3059.
