Fees

  • Initial evaluation up to 75 minutes = $215

  • Return appointment up to 60 minutes = $170

  • Return appointment up to 90 minutes = $255

  • Insurance slots are full for 2026.

    I accept some Aetna and Anthem plans, but each plan is different. If your plan tells you I'm in network, then we can trust them as the authority. I use a third-party called Headway to manage insurance, and unfortunately Headway is only able to offer estimates. To avoid surprises, you will get the most accurate information by contacting your insurance carrier directly. When calling your insurance, ask them about your "in-network benefits" and ask if I am in-network. The insurance carrier may ask for my NPI number, which is 1275085524. If I am not in network, but you have "out of network benefits," you may be able to submit claims for services for partial reimbursement.

    I am also an out-of-network provider. Contact your insurance representative to find out if you have out-of-network (OON) benefits and what they are. If you would like to use your OON benefits, please let me know.

  • Out of pocket: All fees for cash-pay services are paid at the time of service with cash, check, debit or credit card.

    Insurance: Insurance slots are full for 2026. I accept insurance through my work with Headway. Headway manages all of these charges.

  • I partner with Open Path Psychotherapy Collective to offer a significantly reduced rate. These slots are currently full.

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to provide a good faith estimate of expected charges for items and services to individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, including psychotherapy services.

    You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any services upon request (even before scheduling).

    If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • No, I only work with adults (18+) on a 1-on-1 basis.

    If you’re seeking care for a loved one, please consider increasing support for yourself as you stretch to care for them. This support can come in countless forms; your own therapy is one option.

Therapy 101

  • Therapists use directories to advertise their services. I use Being Seen, Inclusive Therapists, and Therapy Den. These are general-use directories with useful search filters. Inclusive Therapists is a nationwide directory with an emerging presence among Indiana therapists. There are also identity-specific directories (e.g., Therapy for Black Girls). You can also find therapists by treatment approach through the approach’s website.

    Ask people you trust for referrals. Ask your physician. You might ask a local university’s student counseling center if they have a list of therapists they recommend.

    If you would like to use your insurance, please call your representative and clarify your coverage. This will inform and narrow your search.

    Therapists will often offer a free consultation. These are brief meet-and-greet phone calls in which you can ask questions and explore working together. You might talk with a few therapists this way before deciding. This is OK.

  • This depends on your goals. I can better answer this question after learning more about you during the initial evaluation.

  • Yes, mostly. I will break confidentiality if you or someone else is in danger. Records can also be subpoenaed by a court.

    If you are using your insurance:

    If you are using insurance, your diagnosis, the appointment date, and the appointment start and end times are shared with your insurance company through Headway each session. Your insurance company can also request and obtain session notes, which include: symptoms, treatment plan and goals, and your response to treatment. When this happens, Headway will also be granted access. Your insurance company and Headway are both governed by HIPAA.

  • I keep secure electronic written summaries of our sessions and copies of any written communication. I maintain the records as required by state and federal laws and by my professional organization.

    If you are using your insurance:

Your insurance company can also request and obtain session notes, which include: symptoms, treatment plan and goals, and your response to treatment.   • No worries. It is my job to pay attention and to read the room. If I do not get the hint, please tell me directly. I welcome you to set and hold your boundaries and to communicate them in the ways you know how. We practice communicating and respecting boundaries in therapy and this would be an opportunity to practice.

  • No. I am not trained or licensed to prescribe medication. Depending on the severity or the persistence of your symptoms, I may suggest that you be assessed by a psychiatrist or a physician. Either of us can start this conversation.

Tech Help

    • Call or text 1(800) 604-5841 for BlackLine, a space for peer support, counseling, witnessing and affirming the lived experiences to folx who are most impacted by systematic oppression with an LGBTQ+ Black Femme Lens. BlackLine is a hotline geared towards the Black, Black LGBTQI, Brown, Native and Muslim community. However, no one will be turned away from the Hotline.

    • Call 988 for emergency services.

    • Go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

    • Call the free, 24/7 hotline of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) to be connected to a trained counselor at a suicide crisis center nearest you.

    • Ask a family member or friend to help you make these calls or take you to the hospital.
