Gauging interest for group experience using the Safe and Sound Protocol
Hello, I am gauging interest for a group experience using the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) to support nervous system regulation (a common therapeutic treatment goal in my practice).
What is the Safe and Sound Protocol?
The Safe and Sound Protocol is a powerful therapeutic tool designed to help regulate the nervous system. Using the SSP involves listening to filtered music while in a relatively safe environment. Learn more about the SSP here.
Gauging interest for online group format
Group participants meet together online and listen individually at their own pace. The nature of group offers the potential for multiplying gains and is often my recommendation over individual SSP sessions. I am gauging interest to determine the feasibility of offering a group experience within my practice.
The group experience
For eleven weekly meetings, we create a supportive environment for personal witnessing and use filtered music to help regulate the nervous system. 90-minute sessions begin with a guided visualization and brief check-ins for the first 20-30 minutes, followed by intervals of individual listening for a period of 35-45 minutes, and then closing reflections for the last 20-30 minutes. Prior to the group experience, we will collaborate on drafting your individual listening plan.
This is not group therapy, but there is the same expectation of confidentiality and for joining from a private uninterrupted safe location. The group experience will be limited to four participants.
Investment
90-minute weekly sessions for 11 weeks= 16.5 total hours
$1050 for 11-week experience, includes SSP access fee. Payment plans and reduced cost available.
Filtered music is delivered through an app using a smartphone. Using over-ear headphones for listening is recommended in most circumstances.
Start date and meeting time
The start date and group meeting time will be based on interest. Subject to change, potential meeting times include 90-minute windows: Tuesday-Saturday mornings, and Wednesdays 7-8:30pm.
