How do I send materials to my therapist?

Uploading therapeutic work through the secure online portal is a way to continue to engage in the therapeutic process outside of your session time. Follow the steps outlined below and I can access and review your materials with you during your session.

Follow these steps to share work from session, from in between sessions, and documentation from other providers. This is NOT a way to connect during a crisis. Crisis resources are listed at the bottom of the page.

Protecting your privacy

Using the secure portal to upload your documents helps to protect your privacy. I appreciate your openness to navigating a new system.

To share documents securely:

  1. If the thing you want to share isn’t already in an electronic format, create that first. You can do this by taking a photo. When you have your electronic file ready, move to step 2.

  2. Enter the secure portal: https://potter.patientsecure.me/

  3. Click “I’m an existing client”

  4. Sign in

  5. Click “Documents & Forms” in the top bar

  6. Scroll down to “My Uploads”

  7. Click the box on the right “+ Add”

  8. Find and select the file you want to upload

  9. Click “Upload”

If you or someone you know is in crisis and needs immediate help, do not use this service. Connect to the following crisis services instead:

  • Text the free, 24/7 Crisis Text Line for any crisis. Text HOME to 741741 and a live, trained, volunteer crisis counselor will help you move from a hot moment to a cool moment.

  • Call or text 1(800) 604-5841 for BlackLine, a space for peer support, counseling, witnessing and affirming the lived experiences to folx who are most impacted by systematic oppression with an LGBTQ+ Black Femme Lens. BlackLine is a hotline geared towards the Black, Black LGBTQI, Brown, Native and Muslim community. However, no one will be turned away from the Hotline.

If you are thinking about attempting suicide or ending your life, tell someone who can help right away:

  • Call 988 for emergency services.

  • Go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

  • Call the free, 24/7 hotline of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) to be connected to a trained counselor at a suicide crisis center nearest you.

  • Ask a family member or friend to help you make these calls or take you to the hospital.
