Creating a Therapy Space That Feels Just Right for You

In session, I invite you to collaborate with me to create the space that feels just right for you. If you are up for experimenting or making adjustments to the office (or our shared space online), I will ask you to pay attention to your internal sense of “yes” and “no” as we consider the setting. For example:

  • Lighting: Would you like more or less lamp light?

  • Temperature: Would you like a hot tea? Cold water? Weighted blanket?

  • Proximity: How close or far from each other would you like to sit?

  • Furniture: Do you prefer the ottoman between us or off to the side?

  • Decor: What catches your eye or your senses? What do you find pleasing? Displeasing?

Each therapy session offers an experience of care, collaborative fine-tuning, and an attention to your internal sense of “yes” and “no.”
